Alan Smith Soto is a Professor of Spanish Literature in Boston University. He has published one book of poems, Fragmentos de alcancía (Treasure Jar Fragments) (Cambridge: Asaltoalcielo editores, 1998). His poetry has been anthologized in Poetas sin fronteras (Madrid: Verbum, 2000) and Sabia savia (Segovia: Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Esteban Vicente, 2006). He has published more than fifty poems in various magazines, including Ínsula, Anthropos, International Poetry Review, Abril, Amén and Plaza. His translation of Robert Creeley’s Life and Death (Vida y muerte) was published in 2000 (Madrid: Árdora Ediciones). Smith Soto has translated and edited a special issue of the International Poetry Review (Spring, 2006: 9-75): Spain’s Poetry of Conscience. He lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Obed Jean Louis lives in New York City. He has won the hearts and interest of audiences throughout his young career as a classical guitarist and vocalist. Jeanie Bogart has long been recognized as a writer with brilliance and an unimaginable wit. Her writing has already captured the hearts of many. Her works have been published in several publications within the Haitian Diaspora. Her new released collection of poetry (Un jour... Tes pantoufles) has won praises from several publishing houses. She was the winner in 2007 of the Gilbert Gratiant Prize, a Contest of Poetry in the Creole Language held annually in Fort-De-France, Martinique. She lives in New York City. Kathy Gregg has taught English
to 8th and 9th graders for many years and retired two years ago to spend
more time writing. She is currently working part-time as publicist and
marketing director for Hobblebush
Books in Brookline, NH. She has published in small magazines like
"The North American Review," "The Cimarron Review,"
"The North Dakota Review," "Nimrod," and others. She
has a manuscript making the rounds of contests. Kathy has an MFA in poetry
from Vermont College. She lives in New Hampshire. |
