Danielle L. Georges is the author of a book of poems, Maroon, (Curbstone Press). Her work has appeared in literary journals including Agni, Callaloo, The Caribbean Writer, Black Renaissance Noire, and has been widely anthologized. She teaches at Lesley University and lives in Boston. Li Min Mo is a professional storyteller, award-winning educator and artist. She offers children's and adult workshops and dramatic shows, as well as educational seminars on teaching art and culture. Li Min also works together with Chinese language education programs at schools throughout the U.S. to enrich the curriculum through cultural, arts and storytelling workshops. Amy Demas Grunder enjoys and practices politically and socially engaged writing. She was the recipient in her days at UMass-Boston of the Academy of American Poets Prize, and the Lillian Lorraine Jones Fiction Prize. She lives and works in Cambridge MA. She has been deeply involved in social justice and human rights advocacy for many years, including political asylum work as a lawyer. Muhonjia Khaminwa's writing has been published by Farafina, Kwani, Transition, Abafazi, Konch Online and The Journal of African Travel Writing. Ms. Khaminwa has read her work at the Du Bois Institute, Harvard University, Wheaton College, Zeitgeist Gallery, La Belle Gallerie (New Orleans) and Loyola University (New Orleans). She was a featured reader at the PEN New England Discovery Evening in March 2001. She was a Writing Fellow at the MacDowell Colony for Artists in 1996. Sandra Dorsainvil is the Director of Disability Student Services, Sophomore Class Advisor and Coordinator of the Second Year Experience at Regis College. She is currently working on her ordination process as a Minister at First Baptist Church in Needham. She has lived for 18 years in several African countries and Italy. Ms. Dorsainvil enjoys the arts, movies and laughter. |
